Wax on Wednesdays Encaustic Painting Finger Painting Landscape with R and F Pigment Sticks

I love the first layers of a painting just exploring with color.

This  week another finger painted abstract impressionistic landscape
done all with R and F pigment sticks.

There are several brands of oil paint sticks out there to explore

R and F
Windsor Newton
Shiva
Sennilier

are the ones I have used and there may be others out that I have yet to discover .
The R and F are the softest. This helps especially if you are working quickly on
a newly fused layer . The harder oil sticks may dig into the surface a bit if
the wax is still tender.
If the wax surface has hardened it is easier to add the other brands into the mix.

Tube oil paints can also be used .
Just let the linseed oil soak out on a paper towel over night.

Supplies I used this week :
For some reason the Blogger omits the Amazon list and it does not show on the email subscription. If you click on the link to the blog post at the top of your email it will take you directly to that week's post where you can see the supply list :)
